The Teaching Garden is open to the public Saturday and Sunday from 12-4 between May 1st and October 31st.
We are bringing back our Farm Stand! Stop by the Teaching Garden during public hours (Saturday & Sunday 12-4) to shop at our local, seasonal, organic, donation-based farm stand. Take what you want and pay what you wish. All proceeds directly support our free field trip programming for students.
The Teaching Garden offers many family friendly activities including:
Watering (rain-water harvesting)
Gardening books/stories to read
Worm bin exploration
Art projects (beaded bracelets, nature collages, leaf printing, and more)
In conjunction with the other members of the Urban Farm (Earth Matter and the Bee Conservancy) we offer guided tours every first Saturday (between May and October). Meet at the entrance of the urban farm (gate 14) at 1pm on the first Saturday of the month for a short guided tour of all three sites.
Every month we will be hosting a free workshop in the Teaching Garden! Stay tuned for those workshop topics, dates, and times, they will be updated here.
We hope to see you in the Teaching garden!
