Join GrowNYC Community Garden Educators for 3 interactive virtual gardening workshops!

Tune in each day from 4pm-5pm on June 10, June 11, and June 12. This 3-day garden series will be led by GrowNYC's Community Garden Educators and all gardening levels are welcome to attend. Each workshop will feature a presentation and an interactive audience Q&A.

Day 1: Gardens as Community Hubs - In this workshop, learn the steps, approaches, and mechanics of what it means to build, foster and maintain community to sustain green spaces. Led by GrowNYC’s Community Garden Educators, participants will experience a community centered knowledge share on how to facilitate, use conflict resolution techniques to create your own Garden Community Hubs.

Day 2: Gardening 101 - In this workshop participants will learn the foundational principles of Food Justice, Food Sovereignty & Urban Agriculture. Led by GrowNYC Community Garden Educators participants will explore gardening essentials such as understanding germination, soil science, crop & companion planning & more.

Day 3: Gardening 102 - In this workshop participants will continue to learn the foundational principles of Food Justice, Food Sovereignty & Urban Agriculture. Led by GrowNYC Community Garden Educators participants will explore gardening essentials such as making your own soil, season extension and more.
